WINE REVIEW

Beautiful and golden in colour, the Classic Cuvée from Furleigh has persistent streams of fine bubbles in the glass. It is a balanced blend of 41% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 24% Pinot Meunier

On the nose, this wine has rich aromas of lemon and stone fruit with sublime autolytic character of brioche and biscuit, with toasted buttery bread. There’s a delightful air of baked nuts and hints of sweet vanilla.

The palate begins fresh with vibrant acidity and the tang of citrus and apple. The mid tasted is a lovely rounded stone fruit affair with a fine mousse contributing to a really creamy mouthfeel. This wine has a high dosage (14.4 g/l), but the high acidity really keeps it all so well balanced.

A long complex and really beautiful finish then awaits with lengthy zesty citrus flavours and nutty textures.
