EVENT: Vineyards of Hampshire Wine Festival 2017

Celebrate Hampshire's premier wines at the Vineyards of Hampshire Wine Festival, this year hosted in the vineyard maze at Cottonworth Vineyards.

This is the fifth annual wine festival held by the pro-active Vineyards of Hampshire group dedicated to promoting Hampshire’s superb quality sparkling and still wines, and the county’s unique terroir.  It includes some of the top vineyards in the county: Cottonworth Vineyards (Andover), Danebury Vineyards (Stockbridge), Exton Park Vineyard (Meon Valley), Hambledon Vineyard (Waterlooville), Hattingley Valley (Alresford), Jenkyn Place (Alton) and newly joined Raimes (Titchborne).

 The Vineyards of Hampshire wine festival has established itself as a popular event in the wine and spirits calendar and is a highlight in the county's summer social scene, attracting locals, holidaymakers and industry experts to the region.

Co-organiser, Caroline Stevens from Danebury Vineyards says, ‘Every year the Vineyards of Hampshire wine festival attracts increasing numbers of wine and food lovers. It is a wonderful day out tasting, purchasing and learning about English wine in a quintessential English vineyard.’

Set in the glorious countryside of the Test Valley, guests will have the opportunity to meet the winemakers, take part in wine workshops and join guided tours of the Cottonworth vineyards. There will also be a chance to take an unusual tour of ‘wine discovery’ in the amazing vineyard maze.

Under a marquee there will be over twelve sparkling and still wines on offer to taste and buy, along with local food stalls promoting and selling the finest Hampshire produce. The Festival is part of the Hampshire Fare Food Festival running throughout July.  Early booking is recommended.
