WINE REVIEW

What a curious wine this is; made from red grapes (Pinot Noir), with the look of a rose and the aromas of a crisp aromatic white.

Lovely on the nose with aromas of white flower, citrus, hints of cherry and a sweeter fruity edge with a flinty mineral edge.

Every wine in this range from Albourne is quite distinct – and the mineral edge I observed with their Bacchus is really showing through again here.

It’s impossible not to drink this wine without a smile – a fresh and vibrant embrace in these colder months, but it’s ideally suited to the warmer summer months. The hints of red fruit are there throughout; strawberry, with top notes of cranberry and tangy cherry.

It’s got that rosé charm, but with just that something extra. Another excellent wine from Albourne.
