WINE REVIEW

One of the new breed of extra-vibrant English Bacchus’, this is the first vintage from Flint Vineyard in Norfolk. Whilst their own vines will not be ready for harvest until 2019, owners Ben and Hannah have worked with Great Whitmans in Essex to source the best quality fruit to make this wine.

This Bacchus opens up with a very expressive nose, rich on grapefruit and lime zest with colourful tropics. Elderflower aromas are not as prominent as some Bacchus, allowing mineral and dried herb notes to come through.

A vibrant punchy palate with loads of citrus zing up front. Pink grapefruit, lime and a passion fruit kick. It’s fruit focussed, but absolutely dry with a tingling citrus character. A slightly peppery finish lingers with lime oil and floral notes.

This Bacchus is lively and pronounced; a wonderful first vintage from this promising English Wine producer!
