WINE REVIEW
Tasted side by side with 2056, 2006 & 2009, each having its own unique nose and taste.
The 2007 was my favourite of the four in a vertical tasting, a blend of 79% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir and 6% Pinot Meunier.
The 2007 harvest comes from a year of challenging weather; a warm wet winter and cool dry summer.
The wine is a lot more complex as a result. Rich tangy apples come through on the pallet as does a stronger burnt sugar character and really rich layered toasted notes.
