WINE REVIEW
The latest 2016 vintage red wine release from Polgoon is made from 100% Rondo, an early ripening red grape that grows particularly well in England.
The wine is vivid in colour, with vibrant magenta and purple tones.
An open nose of full-on blackcurrant with plummy notes and a twist of spiced vanilla and dark flowers.
Despite being a light to medium bodied wine, the overall profile feels fuller than many English reds. Vibrant, tangy blackcurrant flavours with some red fruit in there and a pronounced acidity.
There’s an underlying savoury note lingers with hints of sweet vanilla and light tannin on the finish.
Please can you tell me if this wine is suitable for vegetarians.
