WINE REVIEW

A blend of 50% Pinot Noir with 50% Pinot Noir Précoce, vinified with full ferment with skin contact.

On the nose this has lovely smoked oaky aromas; rich vanilla and spice with a savoury edge reminiscent of some of the more rustic village style French reds.

Whilst fairly light in complexion, the palate is surprisingly rounded. Acidity is mild but prominent with juicy dark plummy fruit, underpinned by sweeter raspberry/strawberry flavours.

Gamey savoury flavours form on the mid taste with notes of cigar and spice, and that smooth warming vanilla that was prominent on the nose. The tannins are very mild, but vital in elevating it to have unparalleled texture for an English red wine.
