WINE REVIEW

An early vintage release is not a new phenomenon for Three Choirs. Unlike the well-known marketing ploy of Beaujolais Nouveau, this is a white wine, and in my opinion a better option for a first release.

Ultra clear in colour, this is a blend of Solaris, Madeleine Angevine and Siegerrebe. Three varieties that are normally given less press in England. This is a dry wine with an intriguing array of aromatics ranging from honeysuckle to golden kiwis, English pears and yellow grapefruit.

I’m not sure what the secret is at Three Choirs to be able to offer wines at more agreeable prices than many other British vineyards, but there you have it.
