WINE REVIEW
This is the second vintage of Albariño from Balfour, which in 2023 went through full malo and was partially (10%) barrel-fermented.
This wine has a slightly more yellow hue than the 2022; this vintage has a nose that combines lemon peel and pear with hints of nectarine and floral aromas.
The palate has a lively acidity and is a little broader than the previous vintage was on release. There’s lots of zingy green fruit, but also suggestions of peach and ripe apple as well as a light, leesy richness.
