Bank Holiday weekend has started, the sun is shining and what better way to celebrate than a glass (or two) of excellent British Wine.
As English Wine Week begins, we have searched out the best deals for some top bottles of wine.
Chapel Down - Vintage Reserve Brut NV
Perhaps the best value English Sparkling Wine on the market? At under £15 a bottle this is significantly better quality wine than similarly priced supermarket Champagnes.
The NV Chapel Down is a light and crisp drop of fizz. It's a fresh mix of lemon & citrus, very bubbly and lively in the glass with some pleasing champagne-like yeasty, dry notes.

Nyetimber - Demi-Sec NV
The first ever English Demi-Sec, courtesy of multiple award winning Nyetimber.
This is a very rounded wine, with 4 x the dosage of the Classic Cuvee, but retaining structure and elegance. A great choice if you find the Classic Cuvee a little dry or rich.

Hush Heath Estate - Balfour Brut Rose 2010
This is a rich indulgent drop of English Sparking Rosé. Layers of fruit flavours in the mid taste – summer berry pudding with lovely subtle brioche notes.
Delicious and one of the best English Rosé's I've tried so far.

Denbies - M&S English White Lily 2014
There are not so many deals on at the moment for English still wines, but this English Lily is excellent value for money and a perfect example of the aromatic freshness on offer in many English still wines.
At £10 this wine demonstrates rich tropical fruit flavours of pineapple and peach, with citrus acidity and structure from the Chardonnay grape.
