Already one of England's most iconic and recognisable wine brands, Nyetimber has just unveiled a smart new look for its full range of premium English sparkling wines. The renewed branding comes well timed as part of Nyetimber's 30th-anniversary celebrations and has already been previewed on the recently relesaed Tillington Single Vineyard 2013.
The new label is being rolled out to the full range this month, with the Blanc de Blancs, Rosé and Classic Cuvée Multi-Vintage blend set to follow suit. The new design features a distinctive shield, symbolising the craftsmanship and pioneering approach that Nyetimber takes in everything it does. The producer has famously pioneered English sparkling wine, being the first to exclusively grow the three 'Champagne varieties' Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and being the first to win an international gold medal in the mid-nineties.
As someone who has worked in packaging and branding for over 15 years, I have to say that the new Nyetimber labels have really hit the mark. It's the perfect evolution of an already strong and established brand. The shield design really stands out from the many rectangular labelled bottles, while the classic colour embellishments and elegant neck foils retain a familiarity and prestige.
Look out for our review of the new Classic Cuvée Multi Vintage at the end of the month in the Great British Wine August Round-up.

Nyetimber Classic Cuvee 2009 Magnum won both the English Sparkling Classic Blend Trophy and English Sparkling Trophy, while the Blanc de Blancs 2010 won the English Sparkling Blanc de Blancs Trophy. At the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2017, Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs 2010 won a Gold Outstanding award in the Bottled Fermented Sparkling Blanc de Blancs category and Nyetimber Classic Cuvee MV won gold in the Bottled Fermented Sparkling Traditional Blend category. I love these new labels. It is very clever how they have matched the colour branding of the foil capsules to the perceived taste of each of the wines. What a great rebranding!
