Winning this award for our Bacchus 2015 at the Decanter World Wine Awards really doesn’t get any bigger,” says Lee. “It makes all the hard work worthwhile and it will help put England and Norfolk on the map as a region capable of making world-class wines. It’s also a fantastic endorsement for us and proves the quality of the wines, it is good to see them get the recognition they deserve.”

Stephen Skelton MW www.englishwine.com,  Decanter Head Chair judge for UK region . “The Winbirri 2015 Bacchus is one of the best wines made from Bacchus that I have ever tasted. Its nose is fresh and fruity and although the colour is very pale, the wine packs a powerful, fruit-filled palate. The acidity is amazingly fresh with a real zing to it, but at the same time balanced with a harmonious, full body. It is mouth-filling and packs a powerful, acid-toned finish. This is the type of dry English wine that will please any discerning palate”.

Although only in its forth vintage, Winbirri Vineyards Bacchus has already made a huge impact, collecting eight trophies in just three years, including Platinum Best In Show, English & Welsh Wine of the Year and East Anglia Wine of the Year.
