WINE REVIEW
Winbirri Bacchus is an English Wine staple, and always high up my list of wines to recommend when people ask me for a still English white to get started with.
This vintage is familiar territory for Winbirri, with lots of citrus on the nose, floral aromatics and green tropical fruit. There’s definitely a greener, grassier tone to this vintage.
On the palate is the expected bursts of zesty lime and grapefruit, with the right mix of elderflower florals and grassy freshness, as well as suggestions of tropical fruit and gooseberry.
Winbirri’s Bacchus is textbook to their signature varietal style, and they just do it so well.
