WINE REVIEW
The very first sparkling wine release from Martin’s Lane Vineyard in Crouch Valley, Essex. This inaugural Blanc de Blancs is made from the vineyard’s most exceptional Chardonnay aromatic clones.
A fresh, fragrant nose of green apple, lemon zest with a distinctive floral character.
The palate retains a crisp if slightly austere profile. Bright acidity, zingy citrus, the crisp bite of green apple with a hint of grassy, floral aromatic throughout.
While the wine doesn’t quite reach the rich depths of some longer aged Blanc de Blancs, the Martin’s Lane has a striking sense of purity with a mineral finish that lingers pleasingly.
Super crisp and very refreshing overall.
