In 2009, Lyme Bay’s first vineyards were planted in Devon, with the first still and sparkling wines being released in 2015. As a statement of intent,
the two still wines released that year, Bacchus and Lyme Bay’s signature blend, Shoreline, won medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards, and Shoreline went on to win gold at the Sommelier Wine Awards.
Since then, LBW Drinks, under the Lyme Bay brand, has gone on to win hundreds of awards, domestically and internationally, for English wines.
Now sourcing grapes from the best sites from across the UK, Lyme Bay Winery continues to tread its own, unique path within the English wine industry and plans to become the UK’s largest producer of high quality Pinot noir, from 2022.
