WINE REVIEW
Rather unusually, for an English Sparkling Wine, this rosé is a blend of Chardonnay and Merlot.
It is a delightful light pink coloured wine with streams of fine persistent bubbles.
The nose starts to unveil the Merlot grapes unique character; vibrant red fruit aromas are partnered with the fresh citrus and orchard fruit notes of the Chardonnay.
On the palate, the wine has a lovely refreshing tangy bite; green apples lead to a really full fruity mid taste with distinctive flavours of peach, strawberry and raspberry.
For a sparkling wine that’s very fruit focussed, there are also some delightful complexities; hints of spice and warm vanilla lingering during a lengthy finish.
