WINE REVIEW
This brand new wine is from the third iteration of Artelium’s Artefact wine series, and is a wild fermented blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Gris.
Light peach in colour, this wine immediately appeals with its open and concentrated nose. Aromas of peach, nectarine and red apple jump out, with hints of honey and tropical fruit.
The palate impresses with its softness, delivering stone fruit richness with indulgent creaminess and hints of strawberry (that must be the Meunier!). The acidity is balanced and lingers nicely in the background to give this surprisingly fruity little number a crisp edge.
Other Wines by this Winemaker
Artelium Artefact #8 Skinny Gris
Complex, textural, part rosé, part orange wine - this is a must try skin contact Pinot Gris.
Artelium Artefact #9 Cabaret Noir 2023
An intensely coloured red wine with deep mocha spiced notes.
Artelium Artefact #2 Barrel Aged Chardonnay 2020
Crisp, taut crunchy apples and zesty flavours, then a lightly peachy weight that leads to a lengthy finish.
Artelium Blanc de Noirs 2014
Distinctive and rich, and it's a wine that I would have a lot of fun with some meaty food pairings.
Artelium Blanc de Blancs Twenty Fifteen
This is classic Blanc de Blancs territory – baked apple, hints of pear and peach on the nose as well as an indulgent biscuity pastry note.
Artelium Chardonnay Twenty Twenty
Brisk, crisp acidity and crunchy orchard fruit flavours, with the zing of tangy pineapple and rounder white peach flavours.
