WINE REVIEW
A blend of 55% Chardonnay, 23% Pinot Noir and 22% Pinot Meunier.
Like the 2007, I found this had a more complex palate and a heavier mouthfeel than more recent vintages, which I like in a sparkling wine.
Apricots and baked apples are at the forefront here, with a smooth rich topping of caramelised sugars.
Nice distinctive notes of almond and brioche. A great vintage, only ever so slightly beaten by the tangy & lively 2007 vintage in my opinion.
