A blend of 55% Chardonnay, 23% Pinot Noir and 22% Pinot Meunier.
Like the 2007, I found this had a more complex palate and a heavier mouthfeel than more recent vintages, which I like in a sparkling wine.
Apricots and baked apples are at the forefront here, with a smooth rich topping of caramelised sugars.
Nice distinctive notes of almond and brioche. A great vintage, only ever so slightly beaten by the tangy & lively 2007 vintage in my opinion.
This wine’s price (£150) and presentation makes a huge statement but it’s Nyetimber’s quality and precise approach that makes it a standout.
Drinking superbly right now, but will be truly exceptional with more time in the bottle.
An exceptionally balanced Blanc de Blancs from Nyetimber that is only just entering its stride and with a long life ahead.
A deeper rosé with rich wild strawberry, raspberry and a hint of winter spice.
Honeyed pastry notes add weigh to a clean mineral backbone in this delicate but expressive Rosé.
A hugely impressive and appealing wine demonstrating sublime integration and development.
