WINE REVIEW
The 2012 South Ridge Brut is a celebration of 20 years of Ridgeview, and what a way to celebrate!
The aromas of the Brut are absolutely delicious, with rich baked pastry, vanilla and stewed apple aromas. Persistent streams medium sized bubbles suggest a lively wine.
Great at first bite – the fizz is slightly fierce but accompanying a rich and delicious palate. Vibrant citrus, very crisp and dry but with a creamy mouth-filling texture. Great length to the flavour with vanilla, brioche and yeasty aftertaste.
One of the English Sparking wines I’ve tried that is the closest to replicating Champagne-style crisp richness and biscuity complexity. Really impressed with this one!
